Friendly to both humans and the environment. Underfloor air conditioning system to make your office space more comfortable.

Entire floor blowing type (FSB500CAW)

Blowing outlet type (FSB500SPW)
We are now entering a stage where office space oriented toward functionality, in line with the development of office automation, must also incorporate a comfortable or sophisticated design. With this in mind, Hitachi Metals Techno, Ltd. focused on utilizing under floor space, which has been secured for the wiring so far, to air conditioning. After its research and development and repeated improvements as a leading raised floor manufacturer, it announced the launch of "Under floor air conditioning system" which transfer mild airflow from raised floor.

Challenges for the office environment
There is an increased need for air conditioning within office spaces, given the growing number of office automation devices reflecting advances in IT, and the consequent increase in heating value. There have also been annoying issues such as irregularities in sensible temperature, the direction or amount of airflow and environmental deterioration, including dust or noise etc. However, the "under floor systems" provided by Hitachi Metals Techno, Ltd. resolve such problems at a stroke. The heat, dust or odors etc. are effectively removed by a one-way piston airflow, which eliminates hot and polluted air upward to the ceiling by blowing wind generated by air conditioners from the floor. In addition, the air provided has a uniform and mild feeling, also contributing to energy saving, due to the low temperature or airflow setting, thanks to the wind from the floor, which can act directly on the living area, unlike conventional air conditioning systems which affect the entire room. The ability to change the layout, which is also one of the merits of free raised floors, allows the creation of comfortable personal space, which meets personal needs and eliminates restrictions based on the location of blowing outlets, and those affecting free living space, including the need to make space for ceiling ducts

Floor blowing air air conditioners using the pressurized chamber method need only around one thirtieth of the blowing velocity power and up to around one fifth that for the blowing air temperature in comparison with conventional ceiling blowing units.
This contributes not only to the realization of significant energy saving, but also to resolving environmental issues such as waste heat from air conditioning, which has become serious in recent years. As for the cost, it is very economical because of its cheap initial costs - thanks to the limited equipment required and reduced running costs, ceiling maintenance is no longer necessary.

The "entire floor blowing type" achieves a open ratio of 17.3 percent, which is the maximum value for steel office automation floors. Its combination with a breathable carpet provides uniform and effective air conditioning. In addition to the high static and dynamic load-carrying capacity, it never gives the uncomfortable feeling that comes from floor-based air conditioning, thanks to the adoption of small oval hole shapes (design patent pending), which are imperceptible to those walking.

The "blowing outlet type" can be used for various blowing outlets thanks to its varying round hole diameters. Moreover, its high load-carrying capacity helps achieve a more flexible layout, while the mortar injection type also enhances the walking feeling. Both types are next-generation floor systems, based on technologies acquired through free raised floors and subsequently evolving.
